~~Studio Enve~~ Eufaula, Al

This is front Full Glass door to enter the Salon from the hall. This is a wonderful old building on East Broad Street downtown Eufaula, Alabama. The space is long and narrow. So I tried to make the most of the space and use her products as the small layers. This shop is owned by Lauren Harris. A young woman who is a cutting edge stylist and make up artist. This shop is her Over The Top Personality full of Eclectic, Funky Fabulousness!
The sitting area is designed for comfort, but with a clean sophisticated edge. Lauren is a very hands on Stylist and just needed space for 2. She works alone with a receptionist so my choice to put the seating area in the corner gave her more room and a chance to use an acrylic lamp with the pop of Apricot on the shade. Perfect balance for the smokey walls and lime ceiling. The White Leather Chairs gives her the clean lines she needs but does not take away from her edgy use of color.
We needed art to fill the high ceilings and what better way than to have usable art?? The chairs are 1950's but have the great details of Art Deco. I painted one Metallic Silver and covered it in a Black Leather. I painted One Black and gave it all the Wow with a Silk Blend fabric in Wonderful Lime, Apricot and Silver. The last chair is painted Apricot and covered in a Bold Black and White Hounds tooth...stunning! These chairs are what you see as you approach the shop from the hall through the glass door entry. It makes that bold over the top Fabulous first impression.
This is the view from the other end of the Salon, the entry wall is covered in Mirrors. This not only opens the space visually but is yet another conversation piece, so many shapes and colors. Lauren is not afraid of color.
Her receptionist has a wonderful Lime Green Vintage Ratan Desk and Chair. The Glass tops is open and gives the idea of floating, one more way to help keep a small space open.
A Claw foot, very traditional table is painted black and used to anchor more products. I painted another chair in the Metallic Silver and covered it in a Silver Lame' just to use for presentation and Products. In a small space, reflective finishes and fabrics helps to open the room. Allows the light to bounce .

There is a large piece of art commissioned for the space behind the chair. One in place I will update.
This is a peek into the next space, the shampoo area. Being small and closed I needed to open it up. This peek through window and a large mirror hung on the other side helps to make the space feel as if it is extended.
Looking from the main space, I needed something to separate but not weigh the space down. The curtain in a bold Black and White just add a peek into the back but still allows the privacy. Another shelf of products in all the bright colors. The bottles look as if they are suspended in air...nope, it is a stainless wine bottle holder. Just Right!
Over the Shampoo bowl a much needed space for towels.
This is Laurens Personal Work Space. Her Chair, Her station , Her Personality on Her Wall.
The Hair Dryer nestles in a corner in front of the window peek through.
This is the front station, just in case she has more than one thing going on. Notice the stations. They float....Glass and Stainless...Weightless, Open. Allowing the Light to Bounce.
A closer look at Lauren's personal wall.
A Display of Products.
Lauren did all this art. She has very Funky Style.
Her own area in the back. A place to sit and relax, grab a bite.
The much needed area for preparing color .
