HUGE Yard Sale, Chapelwood Dothan April 3rd

Hello to Everyone!  Hope you enjoyed my first edition of "shopping in the Wiregrass" !  I will have a second edition soon.  But first I wanted to let all of you in on what is happening the weekend of Easter. 2 Friends and I are having a HUGE Yard Sale at one of their homes in Chapelwood in Dothan On April 3 beginning at 7 am.  I will post the address with some photos a little later in the week.  2 of us had Booths in Antique Malls and are cleaning all of that out!!!  Cheap!!

We have Furniture, Custom Draperies, Curtains, Linens, Primitive Shutters, Crafting things, Scrap Booking, Household and Tons of Decorative Accessories.  We will have Coffee Tables, A Small Farm Table, Primitive Sofa Table, Folding Camp Chairs, an Upholstered Bench, Vintage Iron /Glass Shelf and a Pair of Antique English Twin Head Boards.  Still pulling furniture pieces out.  These things are ready to be used, if you have a shop or just for use in your home.

This is a Sale any Primitive or Antique Lover will need to shop.  We have so much!!  Cleaned out the Storage Sheds, The Storage Units, Closets and Garages!!!

This is the first of the "Shopping in the Wiregrass" Series.  I started with Vintage Chic because I Love This Quaint Shop!!!   From the Front of the building you know that it is going to be a treat.  A Fabulous Old Building, pain stakingly restored. Proprietor, Berna Dean Flanagan is a Sweetie!!  She is one of the amazing people who Love Historic downtown and has invested her Heart and soul into revitalizing Foster Street and The Entire Down Town District.



 From the Expanse of the windows to the welcoming Rockers offered at $50 for the pair....you know you are Welcome.  Make sure to peruse the windows!  There is always a new seasonal display as well as really great "Stuff".  And we all know I love "Stuff"!!!







This "Happy Easter" Sign painted on tin is from an Ozark Resident, Tony Robinson and priced at $28.  Wow!!  Can't you just see this hanging on your porch to welcome everyone!!Berna Dean is great about showcasing Local Artists.



From the expanse of the Wide Open Doors, to the Wonderful Wood Floors and up to the Exposed Brick Walls....I Love it!  The Entire place calls to me....the feel of home.  Of shopping in the old small town shops with my grandmother.  It has memories and it has true substance.  From a design point of view, quite simply...It is Lovely!

Another local artist Jude Southerland Kessler. Offered is a novel on the life of John Winston Lennon.  Isn't this your kind of shop?  You can purchase a turn of the Century (or older) Antique, A Vintage Lamp or even a Book by a resident of the Wiregrass.




Speaking of vintage finds....a collection of Vintage Teapots!!  These are so affordable priced from $8 to $18.  Perfect gift or to add to your collection.

A great 30's Cash Register.  Wouldn't your dad love to have this for Fathers day???? $250.  That is all.  Another great memory.  Someones old store, maybe your childhood is filled with the sound as the clerk rang up your Parents, Grandparents or even your sale.

As Promised...New Merchandise!!

I know, I know....I have heard from many of you about not having things for sale.  The weather has been horrible and I need some sunshine!!  Most of the furniture pieces I do, I use Mr sunshine to help me!!  I have found that by letting a piece actually bake in the sun, provides a small part of the hand rubbed finish I do.  Just one more step in the" feel " and tone of the piece.  So, today I have some great pieces of kitchen ware, A Floor Lamp and a Small Pub Table..  These are great things I love and I hope you do too!




This is a Wonderful Pasta Bowl in the Vintage Tomato Pattern by Williams Sonoma.  A Large and Beautiful Serving Piece  This piece sells on Replacements for $99.  No longer offered by Williams and Sonoma,  I have also have the 4 Dining Bowls as well.. All four in a different pattern of the Vintage Tomato Pattern. I am selling the Large Serving Bowl for~ $45~.

OK, That is all I have ready to offer you....but I am working on a Fabulous Large Coffee Table in a Hand Distressed Black finish.  A Great Upholstered Bench and a Patio Table you will not believe.

I am busy taking orders for Farm Tables and Potting Tables.  My normal turn around is 2 weeks.  But, we are filling up...so don't wait!!
